I’m an observer.
I like to make observations and have people comment on how observant I am or how witty my observations are.
I observe the human condition, the world around me, and things that tickle my fancy. In my blog you can observe me as I observe… you. I like to have fun, hence, “Just Having Fun” is my blog. Laughter is definitely fun. So I laugh a lot and try to have pleasure (i.e., fun) with everything I do. Sorting socks can be hilarious… with the right attitude. Riding the NYC subway is always interesting…. . I do enjoy a good yarn (yes, a play on words), dark roasted coffee, and laughing babies. And I can’t forget to mention love of Pittsburgh, my home town. Pittsburgh is a great place.
And there’s always my knitting. See my projects here:
Happiness is a choice. Fun funnier funniest. I like to have fun. I look for things to enjoy. I choose to take pleasure where I can. I hope these pages pass on a bit of my fun and some of my observations to you.
What is a bit of fun? Nothing too exciting—not like going to an amusement park, or playing pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey when you’re 9 years old. What seems like fun to me might not be fun for you and vice versa. I do not think jumping out of airplanes would be fun, getting tattooed, or following World Cup Soccer, among many things.
My kind of fun is more like rubber chickens, reading Craigslist and laughing at oddball things, taking my recycling to the trash room, and The Far Side. I think the talking twin babies video is hysterical, too! Yeah, I’m a mom of twins AND I’m easily amused. Can you say “cat & toilet paper video“?
Have fun. Life is to be enjoyed. Be grateful for what you have and enjoy G=d’s world. And don’t forget to laugh.
I was the resident blogger for my NYC residence at myhomepayge.com and I’ve reprinted those posts here as The View from Bennett Avenue.
